Miss Pam S – Jazz & Ballet Instructor
Pam S. has been performing and teaching jazz, ballet, lyrical jazz, and hip hop for over 30 years, all across the country and in Europe. Highlights from her career as a singer and dancer include time as a member of the NBA Sacramento Kings “Fastbreak” Dance Team, a performer with Paramount’s Great American Theme Park, and with the “Shoji Tabuchi Theatre” in Branson, Missouri. Her expertise as an instructor and choreographer has given her many opportunities to coach and direct performing groups such as The University of Hawaii Rainbow Dancers, The Hawaii Pacific University Dance Team, and The Kamehameha Schools High School Contemporary Dance Program (which toured Europe). Pam was owner/instructor of Big City Productions and Studio Big City, owner of Pamei Productions, and also worked as a full time dance instructor in Sacramento, California. Locally she has taught Music and Movement to preschoolers at a local YMCA, and jazz at Gymastics Plus in Snohomish. Pam uses her emphasis on proper placement and the joy of performing to show her students how fun dancing can be. She applies this to every dance discipline she is called upon to teach. Her extensive experiences as an instructor have taught her how to interact with her students on a personal but professional level. Pam’s choreography is fresh and exciting, and she lights up any stage she upon which she performs. Applause Studio is thrilled to have her on board.
