Laurie Reimer

Versatile Singer and Performer
Dramatic, with a contemporary style.

Whether in the studio or on stage as soloist or group vocalist, Laurie is a gifted communicator of song.  She has over 30 years of solo and choral experience in various styles ranging from classical to jazz as well as Music Theater.  She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Wichita State University. After her graduation, she continued her private study with David Weber of Friends University.  She later studied for a short time with
Dean Verhines of Los Angeles, California.

Laurie has experience in various venues such as musical theater, Opera Theater, melodrama, music, comedy and drama touring groups and studio singing to name a few.  She has recorded two albums and two demos.

Laurie has recently performed with the Leavenworth Summer Theater as Sister Margaretta and understudy for Mother Abbess in "The Sound of Music".  She also performed in the classic musical "Oliver" as the Rose Seller and directed the adult chorus.

Laurie has taught music in the private school setting working with primary age children.  She has been teaching privately for ten years. Her focus is on children, teenagers and amateur adults.  She performs regularly for musical productions, churches, retreats and community gatherings.  She is married and has three children.
