Make-up classes for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday classes missed during December's winter break will be scheduled in January. Make-up classes for a missing Friday class in June will be scheduled in April or May. First Semester runs Sept. 10 - Jan. 30. Second Semester runs Feb. 1 - June 22. All monthly tuition payments are based on an average of 4 classes a month. (Some classes will occasionally be held 5 times in one month, but only 3 times in other months when the studio is closed for holidays, etc.) In January, the Show-a-thon counts as class time for Saturday students. In June, both dress rehearsals and the recital count as class time for Wed., Thurs., & Sat. students. September tuition is pro-rated—75% for 3/4 of the month. New registrations that take place mid-month are also pro-rated. Full tuition is due every month, in advance, by the 1st, considered late by the 5th. A late fee of $10.00 will be added to payments received after the 5th. This policy continues through the month of June. Classes continue after the recital, through June 22rd. June tuition must be paid in full prior to recital participation. We require 2 weeks advance written notice of any student dropping a class. We will continue to bill you reach month, and we will expect payment in full unless and until we receive such notification. No refunds are given for absences. Your instructor or studio management can recommend an appropriate make-up class. In the case of serious injuries or illnesses that require long recoveries, tuition amounts due can be "frozen," pro-rated, or credited until recovery time is complete. If the instructor must cancel a class, and we are unable to find a substitute, we will re-schedule that class. Every attempt will be made to inform everyone in the class about the cancellation and the re-scheduling. The same applies to classes canceled due to snow or power outages. Please call the studio if you know you are going to be absent. We appreciate knowing whether or not to expect you. If any student would like to try out a new class (assuming instructor permission if applicable), the "drop-in" rate is $15 per class. All minors must be accompanied by an adult, and their registration forms must be filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian. This can be done in advance by downloading the form from this site, or by requesting the form by mail so it can be filled out and signed prior to class. If you wish to attend a class for the first time, please call first. The studio will be closed - * Oct. 31st for Halloween (Friday) * Nov. 27nd - 30th for Thanksgiving Break. * Dec. 24th – Jan. 1st for Winter Break * May 22rd - 25th for Memorial Day Weekend
Applause Studio does not have a week of "spring break," as our students belong to many different school districts which have many different spring breaks. If you miss class due to vacation taken during your spring break, full tuition is still due for that month. You may take a "make-up" class sometime before the end of the semester, as you would for any other absence.
