Applause Players FAQ!

Its purpose is to answer any questions you may have regarding the activities that take place throughout the year and explain what is expected of you as a parent and as a cast member

The Princess and the Pea - A Twisted Tale

Be sure not to miss our camp Monday, August 25 - Friday August 29th from 10 am to 3 pm!  This is an excellent prep for auditions, the musical, and a heck of a lot of fun!  The camp fills up quickly, so make sure to reserve your spots early by calling the studio at 425-482-2075.  This is also a fundraiser for the group where 50% of the camp fee supports our upcoming production!!!

Auditions are coming up for our next musical, The Princess and the Pea - A Twisted Tale Saturday, September 27th from 10am - 12pm.  (Click HERE for a flyer with more information on the auditions.)  We audition ages 8 through adult (there are adult guest artist roles!) and no preparation is necessary.  Please download and read through the FAQ sheet and the Master Calendar for more details and dates.

This year there are two musicals on our playbill.  Our larger musical is The Princess and the Pea  in May, 2009, and a smaller production, Aladdin - What Really Happened will be held in August, 2009.

Applause Players is a Youth Musical Theatre Troupe affiliated with Applause Studio in Mill Creek, and is sponsored by the Applause Studio Youth Parent Organization (YPO), a Washington State non-profit group.

We focus on a fun and professional environment where the students learn how a real company operates. They are encouraged to be expressive and creative while staying open-minded and non-judgmental towards their peers. We strive to create a comfortable classroom where a child can build self esteem through their own ideas and efforts.

Each student learns true responsibility as everyone has many duties and the cast must depend on and trust each other in order for the production to happen. They practice setting aside differences to work as a team and focus on the art in themselves, not themselves in the art.
