Miss Andrea – Ballet Instructor

Miss Andrea is 22 years old and has been dancing for 18 years. She trained with the Royal Academy of Dance (a school based out of London) for the first nine years. Following that time, she trained with The Studio of Dance in Lake Stevens, under the direction of Lynn Johntry. At The Studio, in addition to ballet, Andrea also studied jazz & tap with Miss Lynn, and hip hop with Miss Alison. Andrea has truly enjoyed the many opportunities for performance that her dance training has afforded her. Highlights include Coppelia, La Boutique Fantasique, Sleeping Beauty, Gershwin Gala, The Red Shoes, The Nutcracker, and many original works.

Andrea began teaching ballet and jazz in 1997. She finds a great deal of joy and happiness in sharing dance with others, whether it be through performing or through helping her students to learn and perfect the art of dance. Students enjoy her gentle and encouraging teaching methods, and her natural grace of movement. Andrea enjoys the out-of-doors, spending time with friends and family, and serving in her church. She is in the process of earning her K-8 teaching degree through Western Washington University.
